Bang Bang Drum School is a community arts project coordinated by Laura Rogatchevskaia, Janine A’Bear and Ilia Rogatchevski.

The school offers drum classes for babies and toddlers, workshops for older children as well as 1:1 lessons. We introduce kids to the concepts of rhythm, notation and DIY sound making in a fun, play-orientated environment. In our group sessions there is often a craft element with an opportunity to make your own hand drum, graphic scores and drumsticks, amongst other things.

The first series of sessions ran in October 2021 at Crumbles Castle Adventure Playground. These sessions were made possible by the We Are Cally Residents Grant Scheme and support from Little Angel Theatre. We have since facilitated workshops at nurseries, festivals and private events.

We are fully insured, safeguarding is in place and all project facilitators have enhanced DBS checks.
